Benefits Open Enrollment

By Janie Emmert, Benefits Administrator

More than anything, our ability to restore lives relies on you, our team members. You are a valuable part of Behavioral Health Group, and your health and well-being are important to us. We are excited to announce that Benefits Open Enrollment will be November 6 through 19. Open Enrollment will be through Paycor, and this is your opportunity to enroll in 2023 benefits for you and your eligible dependents.

We are sensitive to the impact that our team members are experiencing due to inflation. To help minimize the impact of rising prices, there will be no premium increases to the $2,000 PPO or $3,000 HSA plans. Additionally, there will be no premium increases for Dental or Vision.  We will also provide $190 per month in team member contribution discounts for non-tobacco use and getting a health screening.

We will continue to offer several supplemental benefits to include Accident Coverage, Critical Illness Coverage, Hospital Indemnity Coverage, Identity Theft Protection, Prepaid Legal Coverage, and Pet Coverage. We are also excited to announce that we are replacing the $5,000 HSA with a low-cost PPO Copay Plan.

Important Note: Given the enhancements to our benefits offerings, each team member will need to actively enroll in Medical and Dependent Care FSA. This means that you must elect a medical plan and make new contribution elections for Dependent Care FSA. If no medical election is made by November 19, you will not have coverage in 2023.

COVID Pay Discontinued

By Russell Goin, Chief People Officer

As communicated last month, public health agencies are adjusting their strategies for managing COVID over the long term. One of the more significant adjustments was the CDC changing its policy on masking in healthcare settings. As you are aware, BHG aligned with the CDC and is no longer requiring masking unless certain conditions are present. Another adjustment made by BHG in response to recent CDC recommendations was decreasing the number of days a team member must be off work upon testing positive for COVID.

As we begin to return to a “normal,” pre-COVID lifestyle, we will continue to evolve our policies. One additional change in policy is effective November 1, we will discontinue providing COVID pay for instances where a team member tests positive. Like other illnesses, team members can use accrued Paid Time Off to cover any missed workdays. BHG will comply with any state and local requirements related to COVID pay.

The COVID pandemic was unprecedented and challenging for all of us. It is encouraging that we are returning to some level of normalcy. We will continue to review our policies to ensure that they reflect the current setting.
