BHG Jackson Treatment Center

BHG Jackson Treatment Center is actively engaging in community outreach. Goals are to educate the community about the services that BHG Treatment Center offers and to assist our patients with available resources in the community (ex. employment). BHG Jackson Treatment Center partnered with Dr. Erica Schlesinger in educating Mayor Scott Conger and Chief of Police Julian Wiser about Medication Assisted Treatment & the different services offered by BHG and the State of Tennessee.   BHG Jackson Treatment Center also partnered with Tennessee American Job Center. Patients were able to fill out job applications & were referred to different companies that have job openings.

Submitted by: Pam Barrett, LBSW, MAOA, Regional Director Southern Missouri & NLR, AR OTP & OBOT

Several BHG staff members attended the vendor fair for the 74th Annual Scientific Annual Assembly held for the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians held on August 4-6 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The Governor of Arkansas was the keynote speaker at the opening session and our staff had the opportunity to listen in. The event provided our staff the opportunity to meet with physicians from across the state of Arkansas and bordering states to educate them on BHG’s Mission, Vision and Purpose.  Several connections were made, and future meetings are already planned to continue the conversations with other physicians and community partners.

Attending were: Pam Barrett, Regional Director So. MO and NLR, AR OTP & OBOT; Sherri Riddle,  PFC, So. MO & NLR, AR OTP; Daniela Arias, Office Manager, NLR OBOT; Dr. Richard Doncer, Medical Director, AR OTP and OBOT clinics
