By Samson Teklemariam, LPC, CPTM, VP, Director of Clinical Services
Professional development and license renewal just got easier for BHG employees. Launching soon are our free, training courses, some of which earn NAADAC-accredited CEs. You’ll have a mix of live and web-based sessions to choose from such as motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, clinical supervision, documentation best practices as well as other courses for all positions across the company.
NADAAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, has more than 700 approved education providers and its accreditation means the CEs are recognized and accepted everywhere. In short, this means almost all of our counselors will be able to get CEs from BHG. Ultimately, we hope this makes it easier for our counselors to achieve their credentialing commitment to continuing education and put into practice what they’ve learned and continually improve upon patient care.
As BHG continues to grow, supporting your career and professional needs is vital to helping you grow with us. You are among the best and brightest in the field who are helping us set the standard for addiction recovery. Authentically supporting one another like we support our patients is part of what makes working for BHG special. Stay tuned for more details coming soon. In the meantime, if you have ideas or questions, please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to me, your manager or our human resources team.
