It has been a busy summer for accreditation activities. Please join me in congratulating our West Tennessee teams at Paris, Jackson and Memphis North on their 3-year accreditation awards!
Our treatment centers at Gadsden, Shoals (Sheffield, AL) and Memphis Midtown have completed successful virtual (off-site) surveys and are in the process of developing their Evidence of Standards Compliance.
Katlyn Clark, Accreditation Specialist, has completed IntraCycle Monitoring with 30 Program Directors since June. IntraCycle Monitoring (ICM) is a process that helps organizations maintain continuous standards compliance. All accredited organizations must acknowledge self-assessment of compliance to standards during the years between full survey events. The ICM Profile, created by the Joint Commission, includes Accreditation Status, Accreditation Program Risks and Focused Standards Assessment. The ICM call utilizes a PowerPoint presentation with hyperlinks to review Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC) findings and review of our Joint Commission Preparedness Program site. Other items covered during the call include review of the PI standards, Infection Control plan, COVID-19 documentation, and links to Learning and Development documents. The calls have been beneficial and we appreciate everyone’s participation and cooperation with this effort.
Supplemental administrative surveys for numerous CARF-accredited acquisitions have been conducted. Savannah, TN, Pawtucket, RI, and Michigan Therapeutic Consultants (Mt. Pleasant, Gaylord, Lansing) have all completed Digitally Enabled Site Survey (DESS) activities. Their accreditation status has been extended through expiration which coincides with their current 3-year accreditations.
Let’s acknowledge the accomplishments of these team members as they transition to BHG policies and procedures.
